St Claritas is M&S's entry into alcohol-free sparkling wine, sourced from Spain and built on a base of dealcoholised white wine blended with grape must. The carbonation is lively and holds well in the glass, giving it a closer resemblance to budget prosecco than most AF sparklers manage. The flavour leans firmly into green apple territory, with a noticeable sweetness from the added sugar and grape must. At 6.5g of sugar per 100ml it sits on the sweeter side for the category, which divides opinion. Those expecting bone-dry bubbles will find it cloying, but as a celebratory stand-in or casual midweek glass it does the job.
