Finger lime - known as Gulalung - is a citrus fruit native to the Bundjalung Nation lands in northern NSW and south-east Queensland. The juice sacs look like tiny caviar pearls and carry an intense, tangy lime flavour. Sobah dry-hops this lager then adds the finger lime post-fermentation, using a proprietary yeast strain that produces alcohol-free beer from the outset. The result is crystal clear and straw-coloured, with a white head. There's a clean lime and citrus aroma, lightly floral. On the palate it's light and crisp with a tangy citrus note that sits over a slightly sweet, nutty maize backbone. Balanced bitterness. The finish is clean and short. It's a simple, well-executed summer lager format. Chemical-free, vegan, and low in sugar.
