Equinox Kombucha Blood Orange sits within the brand's fruit-led flavour range, developed as the brand extended from its original herbal profile into more mainstream citrus-forward offerings. The base ferment uses Chun-Mee Green Tea sourced specifically from high-altitude gardens in China's Jiangxi Province. Fermentation takes place in a custom-built, temperature-controlled environment designed to maintain the health of the specific SCOBY strain, and the water is filtered through a bespoke system calibrated to remove impurities while retaining the minerals the SCOBY requires. A Bacillus Subtilis probiotic culture is added after fermentation. At under 0.5%, it sits firmly within the non-alcoholic category.
