Ginsin 12 Botanics is an alcohol-free gin alternative made in Spain by the Espadafor company. It draws on twelve botanicals, the same kind of ingredients used to make gin, after two years of development. Rather than brewing or distilling at full strength and stripping the alcohol out later, it is never alcoholised at all: the botanicals are macerated, then infused and blended without alcohol ever being present. The result is citrus-forward, led by lemon and sweet orange, with the herbal weight of juniper, cardamom and coriander behind it. Floral lavender and hibiscus add depth, a trace of cinnamon brings warmth, and it closes on a slightly bitter finish.
