Heaps Normal Third IPA was released as a limited-edition birthday brew to celebrate the brand's third anniversary. A West Coast IPA positioned as the more assertive companion to the flagship Quiet XPA in the Heaps Normal range, it was developed to show that non-alcoholic beer can match the complexity of full-strength craft styles. The hop bill combines Simcoe, Centennial, and Citra, with the brand describing the result as piney and resinous with a long, clean bitterness. Fermentation uses a specialised yeast strain that does not produce ethanol during brewing, a central part of the brand's approach to natural-process non-alc beer.
