About This Drink
Most of the No Worries range leans pale and hoppy. Driving Home For Christmas goes in a different direction: darker malts, cinnamon, and the kind of malt-forward warmth that signals the holiday season rather than a summer afternoon. The aroma is all roasted caramel, dark malt and a clear hit of cinnamon spice. On the palate the roast character comes through first - not bitter or ashy, just the rounded depth you get from darker malts - with the cinnamon weaving in from the mid-palate. It finishes clean without the syrupy sweetness that catches out some spiced Christmas beers. Like the rest of the No Worries lineup it's brewed with Lervig's maltose-averse yeast, so the 0.5% ABV comes from the brewing process rather than alcohol removal. It's a seasonal release, so availability tends to be limited to the run-up to Christmas. If you like your festive beer to actually taste festive, this one earns its brief window on the shelf.
