Lyre's Italian Spritz is the brand's alcohol-free take on the classic Venetian Spritz. The flavour is bittersweet, with orange sweetness set against the astringency of rhubarb, finishing dry with a herbal persistence. Rather than dilution, Lyre's uses a blend of natural essences, extracts and distillates to replicate the textural quality of the alcoholic original, including the sense of warmth associated with a spirit. Each bottle in the range carries a hand-drawn illustration of an anthropomorphic animal; on the Italian Spritz that is a socialite pigeon, intended to represent the heritage of the drink.
