M&S Czech Lager is brewed at the Protivín Brewery in the South Bohemian region of the Czech Republic. The brewery draws water from its own 300-metre deep artesian wells, and the recipe uses Saaz hops, the traditional noble variety central to the Czech pilsner style. A specialised yeast and fermentation process is employed to maintain the beer's flavour character at low alcohol, preserving the characteristics associated with Czech lager brewing.
