Moderato Blanc de Noir Sparkling is an alcohol-free sparkling wine from Bordeaux, made from Merlot grapes vinified white, a technique where the red grape skins are removed early to keep the juice pale. The wine is then gently dealcoholised, meaning it is produced at full alcoholic strength before the alcohol is removed. Pale yellow in the glass with slightly golden reflections, it has fine bubbles throughout. The aroma carries white fruit, citrus zest and a floral lift. On the palate, it is fruity and round, with crisp apple, juicy pear, lemon and candied fruit, with sweet almond in support. The finish is clean and refreshing, making it well suited as an aperitif.
