Moderato Cuvée Révolutionnaire Merlot Tannat is an alcohol-free red wine from France's Sud-Ouest, gently dealcoholised, a process in which the wine is fermented to full strength before the alcohol is removed. Made from a Merlot and Tannat blend, it is classified as a Rouge de Gascogne, a designation from the Gascony wine region. The wine is garnet red with purple highlights. On the nose, black fruits and spices come through, with a touch of vanilla. On the palate, dark berries and plum, with soft tannins and a smooth finish. It pairs well with spicy grilled poultry, roasted vegetables, or pressed cheese.
