Gold Crush sits at the centre of the Proxies range, a sparkling white wine alternative that uses verjus as its structural base alongside peach and kiwi concentrates, yuzu juice, and a blend of white peony and milk oolong teas. It pours pale gold with fine, persistent bubbles. Peach and yuzu lift first on the nose, with something floral and faintly herbal from the tea blend sitting underneath. On the palate there's ripe stone fruit at the centre, a bright citrus thread running throughout, and a touch of fennel on the finish that gives it a complexity most sparkling alternatives lack. The mouthfeel has good body without weight and the carbonation keeps it feeling bright.
