About This Drink
Saicho Darjeeling Sparkling Tea is the Darjeeling entry in the Saicho sparkling tea range, alongside a Hojicha variant. The tea is sourced from the Gopaldhara Estate in Darjeeling, where leaves are cultivated at 2,000 metres in the Himalayan foothills; the summer harvest is used for this expression. The cold-brew process runs for 24 hours in English spring water. Tasting notes from Saicho cite mandarin, ginger and wood spice. As a 0.0% alcohol-free sparkling tea, it is Saicho's black-tea expression in a range built around single-origin cold-brew production.
