This is Sainsbury's basic dealcohol-free sparkling white — the category starts to feel quite crowded at this price point, but it's widely available and does a passable impression of a celebration fizz. Under the label it's not technically wine at all: the base is rectified concentrated grape must rather than dealcoholised wine, which accounts for the slightly unusual flavour profile. Reviewers tend to describe it as tasting more like a sweet fizzy apple drink than anything you'd mistake for Champagne — tangy, sweet, with a vague grape-ish quality. It's not unpleasant, but it doesn't have the varietal structure that proper dealcoholised whites tend to carry. The bottle and cork presentation at least make it feel a bit more celebratory than a juice carton, and at around £3.50 it's one of the more accessible options on the market. Fine for a toast, less convincing as a dinner companion.
