0.5% Low Alcohol Rosé TTD

A 0.5% de-alcoholised rosé from Sainsbury's Taste the Difference range, made from dealcoholised wine with just 13 calories per 100ml.

About This Drink

The Taste the Difference label is Sainsbury's premium own-brand tier, and this rosé reflects that in approach: it's a proper dealcoholised wine at 99% de-alcoholised base, rather than the grape-must reconstructions you'll find in the entry-level range. At 0.5% ABV it sits in the low-alcohol category rather than fully alcohol-free, which technically allows it to retain a touch more of the original wine character during the dealcoholisation process. The calorie count is remarkably low — 13kcal per 100ml — which comes from the very minimal residual grape must used to sweeten it back up. The TTD range is made under the same process as the Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz variants in the line: Dimethyl Dicarbonate is used as a preservative, which is standard for low-alcohol wines. It's available in Sainsbury's stores and represents a step up from the House Alcohol Free Rosé in terms of ingredient quality, even if the flavour differences are subtle.
