The brand traces its roots to 2014, when founder Ben Branson began experimenting with botanical distillation at his cottage in the British countryside. Grove 42 is made by distilling each botanical separately in a copper pot still, then blending the distillates together with spring water. The botanical selection includes bitter orange, blood orange, mandarin, lemon peel, ginger, and lemongrass, with a characteristically cool prickle from Japanese sansho peppercorn.
