About This Drink
Pre-mixed canned G&Ts are a supermarket staple, and Tesco's own-label low-alcohol version is about as no-fuss as it gets. The gin character comes from nine classic botanicals — juniper, citrus peels, and angelica among them — individually distilled before being combined with reduced-calorie tonic water. The result is something that reads unmistakably as a G&T rather than a generic fizzy drink. The reduced-calorie silver can is the more restrained of Tesco's two G&T variants: lighter carbonation than the standard green-can version, with a softer, slightly sweeter edge and less pronounced gin character. It works well enough as a low-effort, low-alcohol drink, particularly if you're watching calories. Ice and a slice help considerably. At under 0.5% ABV and around 5 calories per 100ml, it's one of the most accessible low-alcohol RTD options available in UK supermarkets — and among the cheapest. It's a practical choice, not a premium one.
