WALT Lo Riesling is an alcohol-free wine from Villa Wolf, a Pfalz estate revived in 1996 under the stewardship of Ernst Loosen, one of the Mosel's most celebrated producers. It is made entirely from German Riesling grapes, fermented in stainless steel, then had the alcohol removed (dealcoholisation) without any added flavourings. This last point is notable: many alcohol-removed wines reintroduce flavour compounds after dealcoholisation to restore aromatic character lost in the process; WALT Lo omits these.
