Warsteiner Fresh is an alcohol-free pilsner brewed in Germany. Warsteiner draws on local soft water from a spring in a nature reserve, and the recipe follows the German Purity Law of 1516, a medieval standard governing brewing ingredients. The drink was endorsed by Jürgen Klopp, Liverpool FC's manager, in 2016. The colour is bright, pale gold with a fine white head. The beer carries honey, hay, biscuit and straw character, with herbal and floral hops. Bread dough character and earthy, metallic hop bitterness run through the flavour over a smooth malt body, and the finish is crisp and refreshing.
