Pallini
Pallini is a Rome-based Italian liqueur producer founded in 1875 by Nicola Pallini in Antrodoco, a village in central Italy, with an alcohol-free aperitif range launched in 2021.
The company relocated from Antrodoco to Rome in 1922, establishing premises near the Pantheon before moving to its current location on Via Tiburtina. Pallini remains family-owned, currently led by Micaela Pallini, the fifth generation of the founding family. The business built its international standing on limoncello, holding the position of the world's top-selling premium limoncello and distributing across more than 35 countries worldwide.
The alcohol-free range centres on a single AF product: an alternative to the brand's flagship limoncello that uses the same Sfusato Amalfitano lemons sourced from the Amalfi Coast. This specific lemon variety, grown on the terraced groves above the Amalfi coastline, is the ingredient that defines Pallini's limoncello internationally, and using it in the alcohol-free version connects the product directly to the brand's ingredient heritage rather than relying on a generic citrus profile.
For sober-curious drinkers who want the character of a classic Italian digestif-style format without the alcohol, Pallini occupies a niche that very few heritage liqueur houses have addressed with their own AF alternative. The range is available through specialist alcohol-free retailers, reflecting its current positioning within the specialist rather than mainstream channel.
