Ginsin
Ginsin comes from Industrias Espadafor, a Granada-based company that has been operating in Andalucia since 1939. While the parent company's roots are in food production rather than spirits, they spent two years developing Ginsin before bringing it to market, and the product picked up an innovation award at SIAL 2018 shortly after launch.
The central product, Ginsin 12 Botanics, is a zero-percent gin alternative built around twelve botanicals: juniper, cardamom, coriander, sweet orange, bitter orange, lemon, cinnamon, orange blossom, hibiscus, lavender, and myrtle. The combination is recognisably gin-adjacent, leaning into the citrus and herbal notes that make a G&T work without replicating the alcohol burn. It's designed to be served with tonic and ice as a direct substitute.
The range extends to flavoured variants, including a strawberry and a tangerine version, which push further into the fruit-forward territory where non-alcoholic spirits often find new audiences. All are produced without fermentation, putting them at 0.0% ABV rather than the 0.5% limit of dealcoholised products.
Ginsin is a Spanish market product that has found some traction in the UK through specialist AF retailers. It's priced accessibly compared with the premium UK-made alternatives, which makes it a reasonable option for those who want gin-style flavour without the outlay of brands like Seedlip or CleanCo.
