Goodh started in Ponsanooth, a small village on the southern edge of Truro, in 2018. The name comes from the Cornish word for wild, pronounced "goooth", and the original concept leaned into that: small-scale, experimental, working with foraged ingredients from the Cornish landscape. It was an interesting starting point for a brewery, even if the foraged angle has since given way to a more commercially grounded hop-forward focus.

The brewery has grown considerably since those early days. Goodh is now based at a purpose-built facility at Indian Queens, a more practical location in the centre of Cornwall with room to scale. The bigger move came in 2022, when Goodh acquired Skinner's Brewery — a long-established Cornish institution — out of administration. They took on the historic Skinner's site in Truro, reopened it in July 2023 as The Tapyard Riverside, and now operate it as their main taproom. It is a significant piece of Cornish brewing history to absorb, and it gives Goodh a city-centre presence that the Indian Queens site cannot provide.

The beer range is built around modern craft styles: kettle sours, hazy pales, and hop-forward session beers. Goodh has built a distribution footprint across the UK, available in craft retailers and online, while the Truro taproom grounds the brand locally.

Alcohol-free output is limited. Steady On is a 0.5% hazy pale — fruit-forward, soft, recognisably in the same family as the core range without trying to be something it is not. For a brewery at this stage of growth, AF is more of a considered addition than a strategic priority. Goodh is first and foremost a craft brewery finding its footing as a larger operation. The AF range may develop as the brand matures.
