Steady On Hazy Pale
A 0.5% hazy pale from Cornwall's Goodh Brewing, dry-hopped with Idaho 7, Azacca, Simcoe, and Nectaron for a tropical punch that punches well above its ABV.
About This Drink
Goodh Brewing named themselves after the Cornish word for 'wild', and their hop selections back that claim up. Steady On is their first low-alcohol beer, a 440ml can of 0.5% hazy pale that doesn't apologise for being light on alcohol — it just gets on with being a well-made beer. The hop bill is serious kit: Idaho 7, Azacca, Simcoe, and Nectaron. Together they deliver a proper tropical aroma — pineapple, peach, passionfruit — and a flavour profile that leans towards lemon, mango, and grapefruit with a crisp, dry finish. Oats in the grain bill help with body, and the haze is genuine rather than decorative. It drinks like a beer, not a concession. Goodh brew out of Indian Queens in Cornwall and operate the old Skinner's taproom in Truro. They're primarily a hop-forward brewery — NEIPAs, hazy pales, the occasional DIPA — so Steady On sits naturally in their range rather than feeling like a bolted-on afterthought. At 0.5%, it's low alcohol rather than alcohol-free, which is worth knowing. Contains wheat, barley, oats, and sulphites; certified vegan.
