Tesco is a British supermarket retailer whose own-label alcohol-free range sits within one of the UK's largest grocery networks, founded by Jack Cohen from a London East End market stall in 1919.

The Tesco name dates to 1924, formed from the initials of tea supplier T.E. Stockwell combined with the first two letters of Cohen's surname. The own-label low and no-alcohol range expanded significantly in 2017, responding to a 40% rise in low-alcohol wine sales recorded within the business at that time.

The own-label low-alcohol wine range uses spinning cone technology, a low-temperature method of removing alcohol from finished wine that helps preserve aromatic character. The pre-mixed AF line includes a low-alcohol, reduced-calorie G&T built around gin botanicals and quinine, aimed at calorie-conscious drinkers looking for a familiar long-drink format in a low-alcohol version.

As a supermarket own-label proposition, Tesco's AF products sit at the value end of the market, priced for everyday accessibility rather than premium positioning. Distribution is exclusive to Tesco's own store network and online channel across its various store formats.
