Brasserie Gobrecht
Brasserie Gobrecht is a micro-brewery in Lille, France, founded by Antoine Gobrecht, a former wine merchant who turned to brewing, and one of the few heirs to the urban breweries that were once numerous in the city. The brewery has operated from a former spinning mill since 2019. It produces contemporary beers and alcohol-free alternatives, and has made the first alcohol-free beer in the city of Lille since 2020. Gobrecht frames its alcohol-free range as a craft alternative to industrial sodas.
The alcohol-free beer is produced from a choice of hops and barley malt through a very slow fermentation process. The range also includes alcohol-free lemonades, low in sugar. Gobrecht operates a 10-hectolitre brew kit alongside six 20-hectolitre fermenters, produces over 1,000 hectolitres of beer annually, and employs four people full time. One of its drinks has won awards.
