Bemuse

Bemuse is a UK-based alcohol-free mead brand, co-founded by Anna Chalov and Nataliya Peretrutova and launched in June 2021, with its drinks produced in London. The brand naturally ferments sparkling honey wines using just honey, water, and yeast as primary ingredients, drawing on Britain's mead-making heritage for a modern, alcohol-free take on one of the country's oldest drink traditions.

The founding idea came while the co-founders were looking for healthy, alcohol-free drinks that tasted celebratory. Bemuse was established during the COVID-19 lockdown, with Anna and Nataliya connecting over Zoom from different countries. Each drink goes through a month-long fermentation process before being infused with natural ingredients to create individual flavours based on traditional mead recipes.

Honey sourcing shapes the brand's operation. Bemuse uses raw, British-sourced honeys and owns its own beehive in Wales. Beyond its own hive, the brand invests in honey cultivation and supports honey-makers worldwide as part of its nature-loving approach to the business.

The range spans sparkling honey wines. Bemuse describes itself as leading modern alcohol-free honey wine production, and the brand is aimed at sober-curious drinkers and others looking for a naturally made, celebratory option.
