Boase founded Lucky Saint after concluding that existing non-alcoholic beers lacked the quality and sense of occasion that drinkers deserved. Rather than compromise, Lucky Saint works with Bavarian brewers, drawing on centuries of German brewing heritage. The flagship Unfiltered Lager undergoes six weeks of fermentation and conditioning before vacuum distillation removes the alcohol at low temperatures, preserving the flavour profile that longer conditioning builds. The unfiltered approach retains yeast in the finished beer, adding body that many alcohol-free lagers lack.

The range has grown carefully since that 2018 launch. A Hazy IPA arrived in 2023, broadening the brand's appeal to hop-forward drinkers who want something with more aromatic complexity, and a Lemon Lager followed in 2024. Lucky Saint also operates its own pub in Marylebone, London, giving the brand a physical home that few alcohol-free-only producers can claim.
