Lucky Saint German Weissbier was released as a limited-edition alcohol-free fifth-anniversary beer, the first time the brand had brewed beyond its flagship Unfiltered Lager. Founder Luke Boase spent two years developing the liquid with Bavarian master brewers. The recipe uses wheat and barley malts from local Bavarian farms and was brewed to the Reinheitsgebot, Germany's beer purity law governing which ingredients may be used. A bespoke yeast strain was developed specifically to produce the banana and clove aromas characteristic of the hefeweizen style. Left unfiltered, it has a smooth and creamy mouthfeel.
