Brut Dargent
Brut Dargent is a French sparkling wine producer with an alcohol-free sparkling range de-alcoholised by the centrifugal cone column method, a form of vacuum distillation that works without heat or chemical additives and takes no less than 30 hours.
Based in France, the brand makes sparkling wines from classic French grape varieties, including Pinot Noir. Its conventionally produced lineup includes sparkling wines made by the Méthode Traditionnelle, a technique in which a second fermentation inside the bottle builds the fizz, as well as sparkling wines drawn from the coeur de presse, the juice of the very first pressing of the grapes, aged for 18 months.
The de-alcoholisation process is described as highly modern and complex, and the combination of low-temperature distillation, no added chemicals, and a lengthy process time is intended to be very gentle on the flavour.
The alcohol-free sparkling wines suit sober-curious drinkers and are available through mainstream retail and specialist stockists.
