Burnt Mill
Burnt Mill is a farm brewery in Badley, Suffolk, founded in 2016, with an alcohol-free beer in its lineup alongside its wider range. Brewer Charles O'Reilly started the business when he saw an opportunity to establish a brewery on his wife's family farm, converting a former grain shed into the brewing space. Burnt Mill's early direction was shaped by the London brewing scene, and Sophie de Ronde joined the team as head brewer in 2017.
All beers produced at Burnt Mill have been unfiltered. Styles in the range include New England and West Coast beers, stouts, and a cocoa porter made with cocoa husks. Burnt Mill uses vegan-friendly pea-based finings and applies an enzyme process to break down gluten in its gluten-free beers, with each batch tested to 5ppm.
Burnt Mill has collaborated with Zeer Brewing on a New Zealand Extra Pale Ale.
