Caleno

Webb, who had family connections to Colombia, travelled 5,000 miles across the country and returned home to find that her alcohol-free options on nights out amounted to tap water. Caleno was founded to bring the sun-drenched flavours of Colombia into the alcohol-free spirits category. The company is female-founded, headquartered in Bristol, and has grown to a team of almost 20 people.

The spirits are produced through steam distillation, a technique that draws flavour from botanicals using steam. The botanical palette includes juniper, citrus, Inca berries and spice botanicals. The range spans gin-style alternatives and rum-style spirits, both shaped by the tropical and spiced profile associated with South American culture. Two of its drinks have won awards.

Originally launched in the United Kingdom, the brand has since expanded into Australia. Caleno targets consumers in their mid-20s to mid-30s and maintains a broad retail presence across both markets.
