Crafty Devil
Crafty Devil Brewing is an independent brewery based in Cardiff, South Wales, established in 2014 by Adam Edinborough and Rhys Watkins after a visit to Otley Brewery in Pontypridd gave them the idea to start brewing on their own terms.
The pair began with an oversized home brew kit in a garden shed in west Cardiff, building the operation without corporate backing. The brewery became a limited company in September 2014 and has been at its current Cardiff site since 2017. Its output runs to bottled, canned and keg beer only, with no cask ales in the range, covering hazy pales, IPAs, sours and stouts.
Crafty Devil runs a bottle shop and front bar on Llandaff Road in Cardiff alongside two microbars, one in the city and one in the nearby town of Penarth, giving the brand a direct consumer presence in south Wales.
Its alcohol-free range comprises a single 0.5% pale ale, brewed in Cardiff and built around hop character, suited to sober-curious drinkers and those moderating their intake.
