French Bloom

The brand's origins lie in a gap its founders identified: festive and sophisticated alcohol-free drinks were absent from social gatherings. Co-founder Maggie Frerejean-Taittinger found, while pregnant, that the options available lacked complexity, depth and three-dimensionality. Rodolphe Frerejean-Taittinger is connected to the Taittinger Champagne family, and the team has since drawn in experts from the world of French sparkling wine. French Bloom is female-founded and the first Maison entirely focused on alcohol-free sparkling wines.

The range is built on organic Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes sourced from the Languedoc region of southern France. Grapes are harvested two to three weeks earlier than conventional timing to preserve maximum acidity, and the wines are aged in new oak barrels from Burgundy. Dealcoholisation is carried out through vacuum distillation at low temperature, meaning the wine is fermented at full strength before the alcohol is removed. French Bloom calls this the 0.0% Wine Revelation Process. The resulting wines contain no added sulfites and are pregnancy-friendly.

French Bloom launched its first sparkling wines in Paris in late 2021. The brand is now present in 32 countries, listed in Michelin-starred restaurants, luxury hotels and department stores, and named the official alcohol-free sparkling wine of Formula 1. In 2024 French Bloom entered a partnership with Moët Hennessy. The brand has also acquired a 25-hectare estate in Limoux in southern France, expected to be fully operational by September 2026.
