Hiatus Beers
Hiatus Beers is an alcohol-free beer brand from the Northern Rivers region of Australia, founded in 2022 by Jules Ryan and Nic Sandery, both former employees of Stone & Wood, and launched to market in July 2022.
Both founders brought brewing experience to the venture. The brewery produces ales and lagers in Australia, using barley and malt throughout the range. Its ales are brewed with Galaxy hops and fermented using a yeast that produces no alcohol. Its lagers are brewed slowly, cold-conditioned, then gently dealcoholised, a process whereby the alcohol is removed from the beer once it has fully brewed. An ale was the brand's first release at launch.
Hiatus Beers was set up to satisfy beer lovers looking for flavourful alcohol-free options, with the range suited to social events, after sport, afternoon drinks, and everyday occasions. Two of the brand's drinks have picked up awards, and all brewing takes place in Australia.
