New Bristol Brewery
New Bristol Brewery is an independent craft beer brand founded in Bristol's St Pauls area in 2013 by husband and wife team Noel and Maria James.
The brewery built its reputation on experimental and creative styles, with pastry stouts, fruited sours, and heavily hopped IPAs central to its output. New Bristol Brewery describes its philosophy as 'modern, creative and un-traditional', and that orientation carries through to its alcohol-free range, launched in 2022. The AF beers are designed to deliver the same bold flavour profiles as the full-strength range rather than treating AF as a secondary concern.
New Bristol Brewery operates an on-site taproom and a brewing school where members of the public can learn to brew their own beer. Both facilities sit within the St Pauls site and reinforce the brewery's hands-on presence in Bristol's independent craft beer community.
As a family-run microbrewery operating without outside ownership, New Bristol Brewery is a craft-tier independent. Its alcohol-free range is aimed at sober-curious drinkers who want craft complexity in AF format, from a brewery whose core identity is built around adventurous, flavour-led brewing.
