New Bristol Brewery's Cinder Toffee Stout is deep brown to near black in the glass, with a soft tan head. The brewery uses chocolate malt, giving the drink its roasted edge. On the nose there's honeycomb sweetness, roasted coffee and chocolate malt, carrying through to a rounded, sessionable mouthfeel with enough body to feel substantial without turning heavy. Cinder toffee sweetness leads on the palate, settling into coffee and chocolate by the finish. This alcohol-free stout is easy drinking.
