Pallini
Pallini is an Italian distillery founded in 1875 by Nicola Pallini in Antrodoco, where the company initially focused on herbal liqueurs. In 1922, Virgilio Pallini moved the business to Rome, where it remains the city's only active distillery. Now in its fifth generation and led by CEO Micaela Pallini, who took on the role in 2015, the family business makes traditional Italian liqueurs, including limoncello, sambuca, and fruit syrups, alongside an alcohol-free limoncello.
The limoncello is based on a family recipe dating to 1875, made using Sfusato IGP lemons from Italy's Amalfi Coast. Pallini sources these lemons in part from a family-owned grove in Vietri, grown without pesticides. Production uses cold infusion, a method in which lemon zest is steeped in neutral alcohol derived from sugar beets. The limoncello was first produced for export to the United States in 1999.
Pallini ranks as the third best-selling limoncello brand globally and holds the top position in the super premium limoncello segment worldwide. The company captures approximately 15% of the global limoncello market share and sells around 2 million litres annually as of 2024. Products are distributed in over 80 countries.
The alcohol-free limoncello is the world's first premium product of its kind, suited to sober-curious drinkers. One of its drinks has picked up awards.
