Reh Kendermann
Reh Kendermann is a German winery based in Bingen am Rhein in the Rheinland-Pfalz region and Germany's largest export winery, shipping wine to 39 countries worldwide.
The company was formed in 1997 from the merger of two German wine businesses, Carl Reh and Hermann Kendermann, though its roots go back more than a century to 1920, when Carl Reh senior set up a trading company for grapes, must and wine in Leiwen in the Mosel valley. Carl Reh senior was also the first producer in the Mosel to buy vineyards capable of producing top quality. Günther Reh took over in 1962 and Carl Reh junior assumed management in 1987. In 2015, Alexander Rittlinger took over management together with Carl Reh; both serve as managing directors. Now in its third generation as a family-owned business, Reh Kendermann sources grapes and must from contract winegrowers in the Palatinate and Rheinhessen, and owns vineyards at the Mosel, in south-western Romania near Oprisor, and in Wellington, South Africa.
The company also owns Black Tower, the world's most successful German wine brand. Reh Kendermann has been producing low- and alcohol-free wines for many years, and in 2024 launched an alcohol-free Riesling for wholesale markets. The winery is an official member of WINEinMODERATION.
Reh Kendermann's alcohol-free wines are available to sober-curious drinkers through the same broad international distribution network as its conventional wine range.
