Resident Culture Brewing
Resident Culture Brewing is a craft brewery founded in 2017 in the Plaza Midwood neighbourhood of Charlotte, North Carolina. The brewery was co-founded by Amanda McLamb, who serves as CEO, alongside Chris Tropeano and Phillip McLamb. From the outset, it has developed a genuine appreciation for assertive, hop-forward styles and a commitment to highlighting the character and quality of a farmer's harvest. It equally celebrates the subtlety and nuance found in lager beer, mixed-fermentation work, and spontaneous offerings.
Resident Culture operates two Charlotte locations: an original site in Plaza Midwood and a second taproom at The Market on 7th Street. A food truck operates alongside both venues. Its brewing programme spans lagers, mixed-fermentation beers, and West Coast IPAs, and the brewery uses a coolship, an open vessel used for spontaneous fermentation, as part of its production.
The brewery has extended into alcohol-free brewing, adding a lager to its range for sober-curious drinkers seeking options alongside the brewery's main programme. One of its drinks has picked up an award.
