St. Agrestis
St. Agrestis is a Brooklyn distillery founded in 2014 that produces alcoholic spirits and alcohol-free ready-to-serve cocktails rooted in Italian drinking culture.
The brand was created in Greenpoint, Brooklyn by brothers Louis and Matt Catizone alongside long-time friend and industry veteran Steven DeAngelo, inspired by their Italian upbringing. Two of the founders were sommeliers who developed a deep appreciation for the culture of local amaro while travelling through Northern Italy. St. Agrestis launched with an amaro as its debut product and was the first to produce amaro in New York City. Describing itself as a celebration of traditional Italian drinking culture, the brand makes hand-made natural spirits and cocktails using old-world methods.
The alcohol-free side of the lineup focuses on ready-to-serve cocktails produced using a proprietary process. St. Agrestis describes itself as Negroni-obsessed, and that focus is evident in the shape of the alcohol-free range. One drink in the alcohol-free range has picked up an award. The brand actively markets its alcohol-free cocktails for Dry January and operates a membership programme called Club Phony.
The brand's amaro has earned placement in Michelin-starred restaurants. In April 2026, St. Agrestis was acquired by The Wine Group.
