Vicaris
Vicaris is a family-owned Belgian brewery founded by Vincent Dilewyns in Dendermonde, East Flanders, with the first brew produced on 11 December 1999. A tripel was the brewery's first beer to reach the market commercially, in 2005. The brand is produced by Brouwerij Dilewyns, and all Vicaris beers are brewed 100% naturally by traditional methods, without filtration, pasteurisation, or centrifugation. Each beer undergoes refermentation in the bottle after packaging, leaving a natural sediment at the bottom.
In September 2023, Vicaris added its first alcohol-free beer to the range, the first AF addition in Brouwerij Dilewyns's history. The AF blonde is brewed with three types of hops and two types of malt, and follows the same production approach used across a wider Belgian range that spans styles including tripels and wheat beers. The beer suits sober-curious drinkers and those seeking Belgian ale character without alcohol. One of the brand's alcohol-free drinks has picked up awards.
