Clwb Tropicana is the non-alcoholic version of Tiny Rebel's flagship hazy IPA, and unusually, it uses the same fruit juices and hop varieties as the 5.5% original. Mango, peach, passionfruit, and pineapple are all in the brew, alongside Citra, Simcoe, and Mosaic hops. The result is a beer that sits squarely in the fruit-forward, hazy New England IPA template. Pour into a glass and you get opaque amber with a medium-tan head. The aroma is all tropical: pineapple, lychee, peach, with the hops adding a citrus edge rather than resinous bitterness. On the palate the fruit is generous and sweet, with light bitterness and a subtle lactic sourness in the finish from the lactose. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied and velvety. At 71 kcal per 100ml it is one of the more calorific AF beers in the category, which reflects the fruit juice and lactose content. Not suitable for vegans. For those who want a genuinely flavourful, fruit-heavy low-alcohol IPA from a brewery with proper craft credentials, this is a strong option.
