Cloudy Krush Lemon Sour
A dry-hopped alcohol-free lemon sour brewed with Vault City, layering Sicilian lemon and orange juice into a mixed-fermentation base that actually has some sharpness to it.
About This Drink
Cloudy Krush is a collaboration between We Can Be Friends and Vault City — the Edinburgh-based brewery that has done more than anyone to put AF sour beer on the map. The combination of pedigrees shows. This is built on a mixed fermentation sour base, which means the tartness has some genuine acidity behind it rather than just citric acid additions, and then Sicilian lemons, lemon zest, and fresh orange juice are layered on top. Two hops — Krush T90 and Azacca Cryo — add tropical and stone fruit dimensions that stop it being purely a lemon drink. The result sits somewhere between a fruit sour and a hop-forward wheat beer, and it wears its sourness without apology. If sharp, tangy drinks are your thing, this is one of the more well-constructed AF examples. At 0.5% and around £3.50 direct from the brand. Worth picking up alongside the core range.
