About This Drink
Howies is a small Somerset producer, and this is about as straightforward as low-alcohol cider gets: 100% full-juice apples, pressed and fermented to produce something that genuinely tastes like cider rather than a diluted approximation of one. The medium-sweet profile sits in familiar territory — bold apple aroma up front, a clean acidity underneath, and a finish that's balanced without being cloying. At 0.5% ABV it qualifies as low alcohol under UK labelling rules rather than strictly alcohol-free, though in practice the difference is barely noticeable. It's a credible option if you want a bottled cider experience without the alcohol. Currently sold through Amazon UK in packs of 500ml glass bottles — not yet stocked in the major supermarkets as far as we can tell, which makes it something of a find for cider drinkers who've struggled with the limited AF options in that category.
