About This Drink
Lech is one of Poland's major brewing brands, part of the Kompania Piwowarska group. Lech Zero (also sold as Lech Free in some markets) is their alcohol-free lager — 0.0% ABV, brewed with barley malt and hops in the same tradition as their standard range. It's not trying to be anything other than a Polish lager without the alcohol. The grain character is clean and light, the bitterness is moderate at around 27 IBU, and the carbonation is lively. There are no tricks or botanical additions — it's a beer, made the way beer is made, with the alcohol removed. Lech Zero is widely available in the UK at Polish delicatessens and Eastern European food shops, as well as some supermarkets and online retailers. If you know the Lech brand, you know what to expect. If you don't, it sits comfortably alongside the standard range of European AF lagers — a decent session option, especially with food.
