About This Drink
Peach is the richest of the four Fassbrause flavours A. Le Coq produces. The same formula applies across the range - 50% alcohol-free beer as the base, topped up with juice, sugar, and citric acid - but peach juice gives this one more forward fruit sweetness than the lemon or mojito variants. It shows in the numbers: 7.2g of sugar per 100ml, the highest in the range. The beer base still makes itself known. There's a light grain and hop note underneath the fruit, which keeps this from becoming a straight juice drink. The colour comes from E120 (carmine), worth knowing if you avoid animal-derived additives, since carmine is not vegan. Like the rest of the Fassbrause line, it's enriched with B vitamins and comes in at well under half the calories of most standard soft drinks. Serve cold from the fridge. It works well as an afternoon drink or alongside food that can take some sweetness - grilled chicken, mild cheese, fruit-based desserts.
