About This Drink
Where the original Fizzero leans into apple and pear with a green tea infusion, the Rosé version shifts the fruit profile firmly into red berry territory. Raspberry and strawberry come through clearly, and the green tea is still in there — less as a flavour and more as a structural element, giving the wine some body and stopping it from tasting hollow. German-made and brut in style, so it holds back on the sweetness. The fermented grape juice base gives it more character than most supermarket AF sparkling rosés manage. There's a refreshingly tart apple-and-pear acidity running underneath the berry fruit, which keeps things lively and stops the finish from going cloying. The colour is a pale salmon pink, which looks the part in a glass. It's an M&S own-brand product, available exclusively in store and online through M&S. Suitable for vegans. A reasonable choice for a rosé-style pour at the dinner table — it works particularly well alongside seafood or grilled vegetables.
