Sparkling White Chardonnay
A dealcoholised sparkling Chardonnay from France, made using spinning cone technology. Pale gold with fine bubbles, white flower and orchard fruit aromatics, and a creamy, smooth palate.
About This Drink
The Sparkling White Chardonnay is Bon Voyage's fizz option — the same spinning cone dealcoholisation process used across the range, applied here to a Chardonnay base before carbonation. The gentle low-temperature process is worth noting: it removes alcohol without stripping out the aromatic compounds that make Chardonnay smell like Chardonnay. It pours pale gold with fine, persistent bubbles. The nose is the strongest suit — white flowers up front, then citrus and orchard fruit (apple and pear) that give it a genuine wine character rather than the generic sweet fizz impression you get from lesser dealcoholised sparklers. On the palate it is creamy and smooth, the carbonation well-integrated rather than aggressive. The finish is clean and relatively brief, fading on citrus. At 28 calories per 100ml it sits at the lighter end of the category. If you already know the Bon Voyage Sparkling Rosé Pinot Noir and want something white rather than pink, this is the obvious comparison — same production ethos, similar quality level, different grape character.
