Good Chemistry has been brewing out of Bristol since 2015, building a reputation for approachable, hop-driven beers. Ghost Run is their entry into the alcohol-free space: a 0.5% pale ale loaded with American hops and pitched squarely at the citrus-fruit end of the flavour spectrum. It pours a hazy pale gold, naturally unfined, with tangerine, apricot and grapefruit dominating both the nose and the palate. The hop bite is genuine rather than token, giving it a dry, lightly bitter finish that stops the fruit sweetness from becoming cloying. At 440ml per can, it feels like a proper pint-sized drink rather than a miniature concession. Available direct from the brewery at £2.40 a can, or through specialist AF retailers like Wise Bartender. For a Bristol brewery better known for its full-strength output, this is a credible first step into low-alcohol brewing.
