A 0.0% ABV aperitivo-style RTD built around blood orange, bitter orange, rhubarb, and gentian — the bitter botanical profile of a classic Italian spritz, without the alcohol.

About This Drink

Sober Spritz is a French-made non-alcoholic take on the Italian aperitivo tradition. The base is dealcoholised liquor blended with botanical extracts — blood orange, bitter orange, rhubarb, gentian, and angelica — which gives it the deep, vivid red colour and bittersweet character that defines the category. At 0.0% ABV, it sidesteps the alcohol entirely rather than removing it post-fermentation. In the glass it's noticeably more intense than most supermarket own-label alternatives. The bitterness is genuine — gentian and rhubarb doing real work — and the blood orange keeps it from veering too medicinal. It's zero sugar (sweetness comes from the dealcoholised base), which makes it drier than Aperol proper but not austere. Calories clock in at 78 per 100ml, fairly typical for this style. Sober Spritz is designed to be mixed with sparkling water and a slice of orange in the classic spritz format, and that's where it performs best. As a straight sip it's bold, but the brand's own recipe gives you something that genuinely holds its own against the alcoholic original.
