Mojito
A mint-and-lime RTD mocktail at 0.0% ABV, made to evoke the classic Cuban cocktail without the rum.
About This Drink
The Mojito is the most widely recognised mocktail template, and Sir James 101 has taken a sensible approach to it: carbonated water, glucose-fructose syrup, citric acid, and natural mint-lime flavouring. No rum analogue, no attempt to replicate the spirit character. Just the botanical side of the drink rendered in a can. The nose is fresh and minty with lime zest. On the palate the mint is clean and prominent, the lime acidity lifts things, and the fizz keeps it lively. It is sweet, unavoidably so with 9.4g of sugar per 100ml, but the mint freshness stops it from feeling cloying. At 0.0% and 39 kcal per 100ml, it is about as guilt-free as this style gets. The main limitation is that it lacks the complexity of a properly made mojito. But as a ready-to-drink soft drink that captures the spirit of the cocktail, it does the job. Works well over ice with a fresh mint sprig if you want to dress it up.
